Pincushions
I really love pincushions......specially pretty ones....it is nice to pin on them!
I have made a few in the past that I designed and I am experimenting with making different ones....
I thought I would share them with you!
They are made of wool and sit on different glass candlesticks....I can't wait to make more!!!
This is the first one I made for myself....
This one I made for my friend Darlene...
I just made this one purple flower......
Here is a pink flower for my friend Lori(we call her pinky because she loves pink)..I made this for her birthday a couple years ago.....
And the one on the angel candlestick for my friend RoseMary

The most beautiful, special thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.com/........If you don't.....you must!!!!!!!!!!!!!I met her through blogging a few years back...she's extremely talented as well as a beautiful human being........
She makes the most unique, beautiful bird nests.........I chose the spring nest.....and I almost did not want to unwrap it.....such anticipation.....even packaged it w as so beautiful I didn't want to disturb it....It's so wonderful with so many colors of green and textures.......I hope my pictures will convey its specialness......
Complete with 2 little eggs inside......and a collection of beautiful yarns and ribbons......
Underneath it is so pretty also, I lifted the ribbons to show you the wonderful textures and colors.....
And I had a special little bird that could not wait to own it...........
Thanks Vicki........I am blessed to have this truly amazing work of art and love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHEEPISH...................
As you may know...I love wool........I like to knit it, crochet it, dry felt it, wet felt it....and applique it.....
I had to share with the rest of the wool lovers out there this great book my niece Monica gave me.....I just started reading it last night and it is hilarious as well as very informative.......
It's about two women that care for sheep and all the trials and tribulations.....I highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!!
here's some wool as it is from the start..........it has to be washed, carded...dyed......
It comes in many different forms...here are some gorgeous locks......great for texture......
Some great roving too.....and of course wool fabric dyed in beautiful colors for applique....
I have made many projects with wool fabric,,here are some of my projects designed by Sue Spargo.....
Flowerbed quilt.....it was a lovely pattern to make..............
And another design by Sue that we worked on at her home......
Well....I hope if you are a wool lover too you will read this great book!

What I have been working on....
A quilt for my niece's daughter Lillia.....She wanted a quilt representing her name so this is what I came up with!
I forgot to share a little necklace I made for my friend Marcia as a thank you when I was in Brasil for teaching me wonderful origami!
I am also participating in my my fellow blogger friend Vicki's special project: The pink scarf project and just finished this first scarf
Please check out her beautiful blog by clicking on the Pink Scarf project link on this page. Or go to
http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.com/ .
Also we are working on the GROW YOUR BLOG PARTY ( follow the the link at the top)....it will be lots of fun........!!!!
Out of necessity.....well my kids gave me a kinfle fire hd for Christmas which I could not decide to get myself(lol) mostly becasue I am so used to reading books the old fashioned way....well while I will still treasure my paper books, I can only say I love the kindle!
So of course I had to make a cover for it! I followed the directions here http://whipstitchfabrics.com/blog/kindle-cover-tutorial/ and this is what I came up with! I will be making a second one as this one did not quite measure up( a little too small on the front cover) but it works great !!!
