SOME COOL STUFF TO SHARE

On my trip to South America I took an embroidery project from Crab Apple Hill.I had never done one before and thought it would be fun and easy to take.
Of course I am not a good embroiderer and never read the pattern so I ended up doing it my way. I later found out that the flowers were to be colored with crans that get ironed on and permanently stay. I sent a picture of it to Crab Apple Hill and they posted it on their site. I never know if a designer would be too pleased that I alter his/her work so I was happy to know that she liked it!I gave this to my sister Daniela, who embellished a lace border and then had it made into a pillow...here are some pics and a link to Crab Apple Hill's blog...

Also I wanted to share with you the wool wallhangings made by my Dad and I that are exhibited at the Lake Metro Parks Cleveland WOOLFEST show.. It's cool that they hang them together! I will be going to the show this weekend.

TRADE INSPIRATION

I am hosting a trade on FIBER ART TRADERS a great online trading group I belong to. We are making a 6 x 6 mini quilt inspired by pictures or elements in the pictures of my South American trip.
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

A BETTER MONDAY

Well, at last I have the kitchen back and we had a wonderful time this weekend, having 8 guests at home and having my daughter's Bridal Shower. It was beautiful and I will share some of the pictures with you later. It was great having my grandkids home for a few days....I miss them when they are in Connecticut. In a few days we did a lot of things ..we read books, we blew bubbles, had fun baths, went to see the buffalo, went out for icecream, had a bonfire,caught lightning bugs and got a lot of hugs and kisses in!
I will miss them so much!

CRAZY!!!!

I am going crazy! I haven't had my kitchen for almost a week due to remodeling...I am getting ready for my son's graduation sunday and my daughter's bridal shower next saturday as well as my son's graduation party the friday before.
I also wanted to get something done for both a Woolfest show and also something to enter in our Canfield Fair coming up Labor Day weekend. Well, it's tall order but I am trying to do it all..I did get the stuff to the Woolfest...now working on 2 wallhangings designed by me . I may share bits of it here when I get a chance to use my home PC again ( kitchen and bathroom downstairs is inaccessible right now.)
